No More

by FenderGrl   Jan 30, 2008

Tonight,
I'll use my mind to look at you-- not my heart...

I don't want to think of you everytime I hear that song,
I want to put the thought of you at rest--
because you're just not work of any great merit.
I don't want to cry for you no more,
my eyes have reached their limit.
And I don't want to look for you anymore
I don't want to wonder what you're doing every minute...
I don't want to worry for you every time,
I'm done caring for you-- I'mma care for ME.

I don't want to talk about you anymore,
your name won't be a part of my vocabulary as of today...
I want to set free the memory of you-- no more missing you.
I don't want to see your picture no more,
I don't want to read your letters again...
I'mma open my eyes to the truth--
I don't wanna stay up late sitting here,
writting another poem about you...

I don't want to run from enlighting chances for you,
no longer do I want to be a practitioner of longanimity.
Why should I make you my postponement, when I'm vacuous in your eyes?
Part of a superficial world.
