Sign your name in Love

by Maren L Johnson   Jan 31, 2008

When he first wrote his name across my heart the rain fell and the ink ran and vanished in the river of red.
The time was not right and it was as if reality knew it too.
Years later he stamped his name on my heart, my mind, body and soul with a lasting effect. The ink smiled as it deemed the time ripe and right.
Love takes time they say and though I'm not one for cliches I believe it with my very being.
Not a knight in shining armor but a real man with a heart of everlasting love for a woman with a myriad of faults and strengths that when combined shine like an untold morning.
In a second a whisper is unveiled to reveal a scream. Love is like that whisper. It is subtle like a lady dressed in soft tender pastels complemented by soft glitter applied with a practiced hand.
Love speaks in a voice that only the right ear can hear.
Sign your name not in the avenue of infatuation. Write your name in the ink of love and watch as it shines.
