Loneliness

by Barbara   Feb 5, 2008

I'm not tired, but yet I always sleep.
So very lonely, but I dare not weep.
Who knew love could make you so alone.
It only gets better when I hear you on the phone.

I long to be in your arms, to feel that lingering kiss.
To wake up with you next to me is my one true wish.
But who knows how long til that wish comes true.
Love has never been easy, but it's a new kind of heartache loving you.

It's heartache you didn't cause, but you can't take it away.
This loneliness is deeper than words could say.
More intense than emotions could ever feel.
But those emotions let me know this is real.

My heart may be bleeding, I may cry at night.
But I know some day, it will all be alright.
For now I'll find comfort in your words of love.
You'll see that I'm the one girl who you ain't getting rid of.
