Don't Wait

by 0BrokenBella0   Feb 5, 2008

Don't wait for the rain
To tell me if you can love me,
Or if you're gonna walk away.

Don't wait for the sunshine
To fall in love with me, baby,
I don't have that kind of time.

Either love me now, or leave me here,
Don't make me wait, you cause me pain.
I promise, if you go, I won't shed a single tear.
But if you're falling in love with me, don't wait.

Don't wait for the snow to fall.
You are the only one, so far,
Trying to tear down my wall.

Don't wait for me to walk away
To say how you really feel,
And please, don't wait for the rain.

Don't make me wait, don't cause me pain.
Either love me now or walk away.
But please don't wait for the rain.

The idea of it is to be a song. But I am horrible at writing a melody.

I enjoyed reading this piece, however I felt this would be amazing as a song instead of a poem. Overall a wonderful write. Keep up the great work.

    Peace, Joe
