People said i've changed so much,
well here's the honest truth; I grew up.
I stopped letting people push me around,
I learned that you can't always be happy,
I accepted reality.

They'll look at each other,
and exchange some glances
but they won't talk to one another,
because they're afraid of taking chances

And no one will ever know how
many times she told herself that
she just wasn't good enough.

She's got the eyes of innocence; the face of an angel.
A personality of a dreamer & a smile that hides
more pain than you can ever imagine.

Theres always that time in everybody's life
where they just don't know what to do anymore.

This is why you should never get your hopes up.
this is why you should see the glass as half empty.
so when the whole thing spills,
you aren't as devastated.

You're not my drug; you're my alcohol.
i don't keep you for the taste;
I keep you for the feeling.

Lesson learned;
you can't depend on anybody.

Call me wrong, call me right.
but i bring my better angels to every fight.
you may not like where i'm going,
but you sure know where i stand.

There comes a point in your life
when you get tired of chasing everyone,
and trying to fix things, it's not giving up; it's just realizing
you don't need certain people & all the bullshit they bring.
