Can't we just go back to how it used to be?

When you lose something so close to your heart,

I hate how being 'just friends'

Drugs add up,
all I can do is cry,
hiding under my covers-wanting to die.

How can life be so short,

She hides the pain and cries at night,
knowing that being without you is killing her inside.

Its a nightly ritual;
I sit in my room and I read all those pathetic little notes you wrote me as I cry eith every word I read. Every word that was a lie.

but deep down,
its crushing him to pieces.
Its killing him to see me happy,
& he knows I am never coming back.

The pain from loss is passing,
but the happiness of true love stays strong,
& although we were both hurt in the end,
loving you was never wrong.
