Waters rising,
up past my ankles...
As I leave will you say goodbye,
will you even pretend to cry...
Screaming through the flames,
children are told they are the ones to blame...
A mouse pricked it’s ears,
rustles along the bramble his warning...
She’s hiding away from you,
Behind the bathrooms locked stall...
Oh my love, please don't cry,
Just leave me alone to die...
Voices boom across the radios,
Messages interrupt the television stations...
I hide away,
Under the covers...
Run with all your might,
for the storm of light...
An old doll stirs and does wake,
missing random body parts...
Someone lays in the lonesome dark,
trying weakly to heal their scathed body...
Looking through my prison’s windows,
stuck up in my bedroom till the angels come...
