Lemma's Picture Contest

Ok so I saw a contest on here that I thought was a REALLY good idea. This is how it goes...

Below are some links to pictures on photobucket (of no-one in particular, just random stuff). The idea is to choose a picture (or two) and write a poem about what it makes you think of. I hope that makes sense, let me know if it doesn't.

The rules are.....

~ Two pictures per poet
~ Four poets per picture
~ Any length
~ Any style (if you choose one please state it and explain)
~ Any genre (but if it includes profanity please just post the link)
~ You can title the poem whatever you like, but just let me know which picture it was about by stating the number before the title.
~ Please reserve pictures
~ Have fun!

Number two please

Standing on your shore.

Strange how my heart beats
To find myself upon your shore.
Strange how I still feel
My loss of comfort gone before.

Cool waves wash up
And drift away with dreams of youth
So time is stolen
I cannot hold you long enough.

And so this is where I should be now
Days and nights falling by
Days and nights falling by me.
I know of a dream I should be holding

Soft blue horizons
Reach far into my childhood days
As you are rising
To bring me my forgotten ways.

Strange how I falter
To find I'm standing in deep water
Strange how my heart beats
To find I'm standing on your shore.

Crossroads

Birds flying high,
My day among the clouds.
Doesn't last long just until my sigh.
When everything goes mute, less no sounds.

Time slows allowing me to think.
To decide and to give me a choice,
between two different ways, two different links.
The world comes back along with the noise.

But I still am not decided.
I still don't know, where to go from here.
Whether to be happy, live on, sadness receded.
Or to accept my sorrow, so I will shear.

Why is a way of life so hard to choose?
Why should I have to, can't I just be content?
Why can't I let myself love, does that part of me lose?
I can no longer live on the brink, always spent.

So these crossroads I've come to know.
I'll have to abandon I'll have to chance,
The unknown ahead, I will always look back though,
on those crossing places, I'll never forget.

Bound

Wandering hands,
Hungry lips,

Torturous moments,
Of pursuit.

Sweet angels wish,
To taste the sky,

Depth of Beauty

Sand between my toes
I watch the beauty of the fading sun
Sinking so happily into oblivion
Grasping the horizon like a lover

That is where dreams are born
Sultry, hungry dreams
Freedom
Birds carried on wings of fading light

Waves thunder around me
But I know no fear
Only beauty
Only aching

The need to find something
Anything
Inside myself
This glory and peace exists somewhere

I shall search until my dying day
Under every stone in my heart
Every dark corner of my mind
It will be released

4- title burning passion

As i look into your eyes

all i saw was the sun rise

it became as if i got lost in a black hole

your eyes became the coal for that fire which couldn't even be contained

as i stare in your eyes and yours into mine

our love grows and becomes entwined

i feel so happy and my eyes open to the realization of a dream

which has just become reality

a fear just came over me

to lose you is to lose all that i know

so i will hold on tight

holding back things that are right

to keep you here with me

as i feel your gaze through the burning night

It looks like no one has taken the last three spot yet... Can I take #3 then? ^-^

Aw...Mine wasn't as good as I hoped..It's for number three.

The path carved into the ground
As if leading me
Telling me where to go.
But how do I know that's right?
There is the haze, just around the corner,
Blocking my sight from the result.
They tell me it's the place to go.
I'm not so sure.
So much land around me,
I could run away
And through the trees that surround me.
But where does that take me?
To just more mysterious land?
It's getting closer, the haze.
Yet it's still blurry...
But look! The sun is rising,
Placing itself on it's throne in the sky.
The haze is starting to clear.
And alas! I was right all along.
Danger lurks behind it, fleeing from the shine of the sun.
So I know now.
I will run into the depths of this maze,
And find another path..
Or maybe make my own.

3/ The Forest Green

Dewy mist settling on the soft grass of the forest,
The first mist in the beautiful dawn of the morning,
What true mystery and beauty lies in these woods,
Wanting to never be unfolded or told of its secrets.

The tall trees sprouting up to the heavens,
Being dominant over all living things,
Its branches spreading and stretching out,
As if to grab something in the air.

Lush greenery extending throughout the jungle,
Showing all the faces of earth its green color,
Covering and overpowering the soft soil,
Growing fast and fiercely every minute.

The squirrels depend upon the trunks of trees,
While the birds nest their young in the branches,
Trees give so much to all of creation,
They are the heart of nature's foundation.

The morning sun sneaking through the canopy,
Its brilliant light shining through the leaves,
A stunning aurora in the dawn of the forest,
Such a unreal fantasy to live and breathe upon.

5/ Beauty Unfolded

People might say the world is not great,
That it has flaws and many fates.
Some parts of the earth may not be the best,
But with nature it has gained respect.

Such as the glorious mountains that soar,
Its tips touching the cloud's perfect core.
The sun gleaming as if a sudden alert,
Making the clouds look like orange sherbert.

The lake acting as a reflecting mirror,
Showing the sky but ever so clearer.
The evergreens moving swiftly to each other,
As if telling secrets forbidden to another.

The sun is needed for warmth and pleasure,
It's brightness rises to an unknown measure.
The clouds are wanted for drops of wet rain,
Something that all nature can surely obtain.

Together they make up a breathtaking place,
As the wind whispers words with wondrous grace.
The sun does not once hide within the clouds,
But instead stays out and looks very proud.

Not to rush you, but when are you going to get to judging this contest?

Ooooo sorry, things have been INSANELY busy the past month, exams and all that jazz. But they're almost over now so hooray! Haha. Ok, so the results are as follows...
