    HI to you all.
    Can anyone tell me when a poem is a good one. Or when it is a perfect one.
    what are the most important things a good poem should exist of?

    A good poem is a poem which has a;

    ~ Meaning ..
    ~ Topic ..
    ~ Clinch ..

    A perfect poem is determined when;

    ~ You think it is perfect - relief fills your heart and mind ..

    Good Luck <3

    A poem is good when you feel it.

    A poem is good when it cannot be objectively criticized. I.e. it can only be criticized on the grounds of opinion. How favourably appraised the poem is to that end, marks its true value.

    I put this in alot of my comments.

    A poem is finished when----

    You grab the reader
    You drive the reader
    You teach the reader
    then you leave the reader!

    Have you ever had a mental orgasm after writing a poem. You just feel completely drained of emotion. The words start to spill out of you like there is no tomorrow. You keep going and going. Letting more and more go. Finally, it's all out there. You are all drained, no more words are left inside of you. You look up and read it and it's beautiful. You think to yourself. That's a beautiful poem and I need a smoke. That's the perfect poem.

    Longer words, a great array of ideas and feelings.
    try to stay away from short poems or cliches.

    A good poem should consist of thought and emotion if not some source of feeling . If a poem does not have feeling then there is no point in having a poem.

    I know poetry has a lot of meaning behind it, but some poetry is just written purely to entertain. For me, being an art, it is here to be enjoyed :)
