Great... I chatted with a friend and hung out at home.

Tonight I plan on watching the meteor shower with my children.

  • StandStill

That sounds fun, far more fun than my day. :P lol. i hope you have a good night. i'm about to run, but i hope the shower is amazing. ^.^

    Me too... lol

You have a good one sweetie

  • Sherry Lynn

They are asking me things and I am basically answering them.

I guess I kind of asked for it when I said anything except my under clothes... LMAO

Most of the time I do not let them know anything about me and well... now it is an open door.

  • StandStill

Sherry, if you were a wooden door, what kind of wood would you be, and why?

    O.o

    lol.

  • Sherry Lynn

    Oak...

the reason is that oak happens to be one of the strongest and can stand against all kinds of weather and abuse...

I often like to think that with everything I have weathered myself that I might just have it in me to be as strong as oak...

    I actually like that question

  • Sherry Lynn

Ann... sure that would be cool... but only if you want

And NO... I cannot speak whale... just mom talk

  • StandStill

Sherry, what do you think brings people together on this site? I mean...i know people on here who are closer to one another than people in "real life". Do you think it is only the common factor of poetry that bonds them, or do you think it's something else?

  • Sherry Lynn

I think it is the fact that we can hide behind a screen and not worry about anything.

You cannot see me so therefor you can not judge my looks and also I think that the computer screen provides us with a sense of false guard.

I think that hiding behind the computer we are more apt to be honest about our experiences and willing to help... since we do not have to get physically involved... this allows us to draw closer to others that have experienced the same things that we have endured ourselves.

  • StandStill

    I agree. ^

  • Jordan

    I also agree.

    Sherry,

Where would you say your knowledge and apparent wisdom stem from? A person? An experience? Both?

  • Sherry Lynn

Both... experience and the fact that I would always sit and listen to my grandmother. She was a very wise woman that I always looked up to. Now that she has passed away... her words and memories are all that I have.

  • StandStill

Sherry, in relation to that question, ((lol)) where would you say you get your patience from...i've noticed you're patient when it comes to talking with me or tay or anybody about creeps. lol

  • Sherry Lynn

Oh my are you so ever fooled! I actually have very little patience...

I can talk to you girls so easily and openly because I have been there. It is something that I rarely talk about and I think until now only two people on this site knew that.

I can understand you fears and anger. I also understand the betrayl and hurt. How you just want to make it all go away or pretend that it is a bad dream.

What you see as patience is actually experience my dear.

  • StandStill

That makes sense...you've got us very fooled then, Sherry. lol. i really thought you were just passive agressive. :P

Does it make you proud to bear the same name as a fine Spanish wine?

  • Sherry Lynn

I actually hate my name.. I always have...

  • StandStill

Why do you hate your name, Sherry?

    ^.^

  • Sherry Lynn

I just do.. I always have... no reason.

  • StandStill

Lol. fine....if you could change your name, what would you change it to?

  • Sherry Lynn

Kris.. Tori.. Toni... Avery... something tom boyish lol

  • StandStill

((i have a friend named Tori))

um.............................what's one thing you would change about where you live?

  • Sherry Lynn

The city lights! I hate them.. They take away from nature and the sky's beauty. I love the stars and the feeling of being in the woods.. and the bright lights take it all away.

  • StandStill

I swear, you're exactly like my friend Rachel....sheesh....lol.

where do you think the word "O'clock" originated? doesn't it sound....Irish? :P

  • Sherry Lynn

I honestly have no idea what so ever... sorry

  • Jordan

"where do you think the word "O'clock" originated? doesn't it sound....Irish? :P"

Is it not just a shortened form of the term "of the clock?"

I'd pin it on the English. If it were Irish, it wouldn't be so well spread in the world.

  • StandStill

Well, thank YOU. sherry, somebody's stealin' ur job. :P

Ok, what is your outlook on current canidates for president?

Do you like politics? Why or why not?

What do you think of society as a whole?

  • Sherry Lynn

I hate politics.... It really bores me and I am dulled to death with it...

McCain.. I would love to see him for our war. He has the military experience and was a prisoner of war so for that reason alone I think he would be good.

Clinton.. Gotta love that girl. She has a stron demeanor and is very disciplined. Look what Bill put her through and she never lost control in the eyes of the media.

Obama... I do not think he would be good for us in any way shape or form... Of all the candidates he is the one that I trust the least...

Society as a whole is still pretty good. I just do not want to be around three generations from now as we are quickly spiriling downhill.

  • Italian Stallion

You say McCain would be good, but what do you say about the fact that McCain would continue the war in Iraq and ultimitly end up having a draft?

And if that was the case, don't you think that having a draft would hurt the American Public even more than the war already is?

  • Sherry Lynn

I think McCain would be good as far as the soldiers go. He understands what they are going through...

Do I like the idea of a draft? Hell no... especially since my oldest one is almost 18 and the thought of him going to war scares the jeepers out of me.

Overall, I like Hillary... I think that she has handled herself darn good compared to everything she has been put through in the public eye.

  • Italian Stallion

What is your current outlook on the war in Iraq?

Did we go there out of spite of 9/11 or was that just an excuse?

Do you think we are doing the right thing by staying there? Or do you think we should leave?

  • Sherry Lynn

The war in Iraq is a crap shoot if you ask me.

I do not think we had any reason to be there (other than Bush's agenda to redeem his dad) and I don't think we need to be there now.

We went in.. we solved the agenda (Sadaam), now it is time to leave....
