Hey there!

It's been quite a long time since I last hosted a contest, and I've missed it. But it's summer and I've finally had the chance to relax, so it's time for another contest.

[RULES]

The rules of this contest are fairly simple:

`Write a poem, no longer than 5 stanzas, and each stanza can be no longer than 5 lines.
`It MUST be written about your hobby, HOWEVER...
`The hobby you write about cannot be writing. ;)
`Make it unique, if you can. Make me want to take up your hobby.
`Impress me.

Hope this works. It's not written directly about my hobby, painting/drawing, but it's written about me painting/drawing a picture. :]

"Picture Perfect"

I am going to paint you a picture,
to let you know exactly how I feel.
Because these feelings for you,
are a whole lot more than real.

I am going to draw your eyes,
and colour them a shade of blue.
I want to stare into them forever,
this picture will help me get through.

I'll then outline the shape of your lips,
and then I will colour them in red.
As I draw these wonderful memories,
I'll run through the words that you said.

All else will be added as I draw your soul,
for that part means more then the rest.
This picture will be absolutely perfect,
because you are everything that is best.

Bitter brush strokes
Angry mind
Painting all
I'm scared to find

A canvas strewn
With piece of soul
To translate all
I can't control

Sunny days
And fading flowers
Sinking sun
I'm losing hours

Everything
Inside this world
A simple setting
Colours swirled

Such power
From the tip of brush
The slight of hand
A mental rush

Setting free
What words can't say
Pictures of
My minds decay

I dedicate breathing to these enchantments,
giving a piece of me to divine collage
of souls intertwined with pure magic;
pulse of rhythmical spell is trapped in my veins.

Alone in the whole world musical Goddess and I;
she's my mistress, holding sepia heart on the palm.
Brand new pair of wings is growing,
severing, then healing my bruised soul.

Showers of emotions wash away negativity,
coloring gray canvas of this rainy day;
melody's shaping in front of my dreamy eyes,
unwinding secrets forgotten yet majestic.

Hehe.. Ok.. Can they be old? If so, Reserved..

Speed.

Hear the engines roar at the starting line,
Each driver subjected to a specific time.
Look from side to side for my opponents,
Waiting for the light to turn green,
And the flag to fly.

Alas! It is time for me to go.
Step hard on the peddle to lead.
Race away from the cars,
And turn the bend.
Its a straightaway till the end.

More gas, don't hit break.
Speed going faster
And my heart is on its own race.
The speed, the agility amazes me.

Hear the engines roar once more,
To the finish line, and to the end.
Its a racers dream to win the game.
But this racer doesn't need the dream but the speed.

Sewing.

I cannot erase the scars done to me,
But I can replace them with simplicity.

The most glorious dress is nothing
Of grandeur, if
Compared to a handmade one of small allure.

Imagine your imagination,
Coming to life
In color, in shades, embellishments,
Or maybe black and white.

I cannot explain the effort,
Found within someone's blood and tears.
Much greater than a factory:
Sewing can be dear.

I don't think I'm going to do this one anymore.

Lustful Tempo

With a wiggle of her hips
She boosts a tempting curve
Melodious noise continues on
-Spectators innocuous desires exposed-

His hands displace around her waist
His warmth breath soothes her pulsating neck
Marvel at the sight this pas de deux
-Penetrating her innocence-

Tonight,
Let this stream of momentous rhythm-
Make a play,

I've been away from this site for nearly a month due to moving cities for university and getting settled in and everything. I'm really sorry everybody.

Eh. Contest is closed now, I guess. I have no idea when I'll be able to judge though. [Sorry about that.]
