Consequences

When you have completly messed up and did something totally wrong, how do you handle the consequences of it?

I know I am not the only one here who has made mistakes( big ones; not a math quiz or something trivial) but big mistakes. Like altering someone elses lfe or something.

What do you do? I am just curious on how others handle that and what they have done in similiar cases...

I punish myself

You take your consequences and learn a lesson. Even though you made a mistake, something good can come from it.
