Changing the Past Contest

Okay so I've noticed a trend in a lot of writing and I find that a lot of us write about wishing we could do something differently. Wishing we could go back and make right wrongs or go about things in the opposite way. So basically you can write whatever you want as long as it revolves around the theme "If I Could Go Back".

That doesn't have to be your title but you must at least use it in the poem once, if it's your title than that's not necessary however. Other than that go crazy, have fun, let the emotions roll and make some art ladies and gentlemen. For now the end date will be November 30th, but it may change depending on submissions.

What would I change
the part where I lied?
Told you you were the only one

Would I change the time
I beat down your morality
and allowed you to hate yourself
for something I did

Would I change the way
I handled your words
and sobbed on the phone
and took my blade
No

What about the happy times
on the beach, holding hands
smiling, under sun kissed canopies
in the forest so green
No

Why change a thing?
times have been hard, life has been great
we've made our memories
good or bad

we are who we are,
and we love each other for it
mistakes are just that, mistakes
so why dwell on the unchangeable

This is life, live hard,
ride fast, breathe strong,
take chances
no regrets
