    Well, I can tell you, here is not the place to find answers. If anything, you'll be more lost asking a question like this, in a place like this.

    So many people here have differing beliefs. I, for one, believe in God, because I believe He made me, and that's enough for me. Other people will say, "I don't believe in God because blahblahblah," and others will say other stuff. So, asking here is a bad idea. Sorry, not meaning to sound mean.

    great answer bret!!! if you need a bible... they're constantly giving them away if you look hard enough on tv. they also sell them at book stores, and i'm sure your local church would let you borrow one.

    I love what the legendary poet Alexander Pope had to say about those who ponder too much the notion of God:

    Excerp from "An essay On Man"

    "Know then thyself, presume not God to scan;
    The proper study of Mankind is Man.
    Plac'd on this isthmus of a middle state,
    A being darkly wise, and rudely great:
    With too much knowledge for the Sceptic side,
    With too much weakness for the Stoic's pride,
    He hangs between; in doubt to act, or rest,
    In doubt to deem himself a God, or Beast;
    In doubt his Mind or Body to prefer,
    Born but to die, and reas'ning but to err;
    Alike in ignorance, his reason such,
    Whether he thinks too little, or too much:
    Chaos of Thought and Passion, all confus'd;
    Still by himself abus'd, or disabus'd;
    Created half to rise, and half to fall;
    Great lord of all things, yet a prey to all;
    Sole judge of Truth, in endless error hurl'd:
    The glory, jest, and riddle of the world!"

    Think on all ye seekers of all that is.. and is not.

    Wow it's strange how many people's minds have been warped by religion.

    Have people with faith been warped by religion, or have the minds of those who reject it been warped instead?

    Without religion your living by your own rules, own decision. When you follow a religion, you live by the life of that religion. For example, Jahova's (sp?) Witnesses cannot give blood transfusions, so would rather their family die. This is all because they follow a religion. Without religion you have your own life and free will. That's why I think people who follow religion have had their minds warped.

    Is it free will to follow a religion or brainwashing?

    It can quite easily be said that science is what we use to explain how God does what he does.
