"After having private discussions with a few members as well as reading the forums, it is obvious that there is dissent among the population of PnQ. One member in particular, Nor, brought up an idea for us moderators to use, and that is a suggestion thread.

We moderators have agreed to start this thread, but there are a few rules that will be strictly enforced:

1) You may only post suggestions, up to 3 in one post.

2) Member bashing is not tolerated in any way.

3) Please number your suggestions.

4) Any post that is not a suggestion will be deleted instantly.

5) A second thread may be opened up as discussion, but once again member bashing is not tolerated and will be dealt with accordingly.

6) You are allowed to post reasoning beneath each suggestion, however it must be kept short and clear enough to understand.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS JUST A SUGGESTION THREAD TO GET YOUR THOUGHTS OUT IN THE AIR. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT THESE WILL BE CARRIED OUT.

ALSO NOTE: Opinions and discussion are not allowed in this thread, a second thread may be opened up. We will not hesitate to delete any post that does not follow these rules, as well as the rules of poems-and-quotes.com"

What this will solve: having something meaningful and fun to look at/ participate in when you open up the messenger forum page and less SPAM!

While some SPAM is easily recognized, a good way to make the boards less active is to call everything that some find not interesting SPAM

I have found that rules have not been equally enforced nor do I have a simple way of doing that but I would love to see a standard of interpretation on rulings

The rules and guidelines that have been in place are alright. and I would not have a problem if they were enforced, as long as they are enforced gently and all play by the same rules

Would you mind specifying a place where you feel like you're being shut down? There has been a large volume of chatting over the last few days, so I'm not sure if there is a particular place you're talking about, or if it's in general.

So far it is more general. This thread was a response to AJ's request that I start a new thread rather than respond to Ingrid's comment about spam in his thread

I like spam my pantry is full of it, but I don't start spam threads

The point is Mikey, you are saying things aren't the way they should be, and sort of complaining about an issue, but you give no evidence or examples.

Until you do, no one really knows what you are speaking about exactly.

The reason the boards have been in chaos is partly my fault. Silvershoes walks softly though several people have called her a liar. I myself was called a liar and I don't usually start threads at your suggestion if you want to know why reveiw this

There have been mods that have berated suggestions before and no mods are giving out penalties now but I know why very few people can hold an intillegent discusion on this board without being sabotaged

Muslims believe in all the prophets in the bible and the torah, the only difference is we don't deify Jesus like the christians and instead of Moses, we hold Muhammed in high esteem in Islam.

We have moral guidelines in the Quran similar to the commandments, seeing as in our view both the Torah and Bible message has been corrupted over the millenias....

Is this the suggestion thread or what? With everyone sitting in penalty boxes, I can't keep track of stuff, such as what this thread's original purpose was.

My suggestion: When there are major moderating decisions being made, eg, penalisations, suspensions, locking heated threads midway, opening up a suggestion thread in the wrong forum etcetc.. there should be some vote within the mod forums where the majority agrees with the decision. I hope these sorts of decisions aren't made by one mod acting alone. I'd say at least three or four (the majority) should be in agreement first. It would help if all the mods were on the same page and knew about each others' moves around here.

Trust me... we were on the same page. It was discussed in the mod room.
