Remember RULE NUMBER ONE: Do not advertise you are in the contest!

Rule number two: Do not post your poems to your account until the contest is over. ["Arrgh, it's more of a guideline than an actual law." - Barbosa]

Send entries to me, Larry, by PM not later than Sunday 19 February 11:59 pm (23:59) PnQ time (New York City time).

Form Selections: - Kyrielle; - Terza Rima; - Palindrome

ROUND THREE: Choose any one of these three forms and write a poem. There is still no restriction as to subject or style; that is, it can be about anything & can be serious, humourous, philosophical or whatever. I have given two examples by PnQ members for each form. These are only examples of the form are not meant to suggest any subject or style. Good Luck & HAVE FUN!

    Kyrielle See: [http://www.friendship-poems.com/poems.php?id=1168134]
    And See: [http://www.poems-and-quotes.com/life/poems.php?id=1113779]
A Kyrielle is a French form of Rhyming Poetry written in quatrains (a stanza consisting of 4 lines), and each quatrain contains a repeating line or phrase as a refrain (usually appearing as the last line of each stanza). Each line within the poem consists of only eight syllables. There is no limit to the amount of stanzas a Kyrielle may have, but three is considered the accepted minimum.
Some popular rhyming schemes for a Kyrielle are: aabB, ccbB, ddbB, with B being the repeated line, or abaB, cbcB, dbdB. Mixing up the rhyme scheme is possible for an unusual pattern of: axaZ, bxbZ, cxcZ, dxdZ, etc. with Z being the repeated line. The rhyme pattern is completely up to the poet.

    Terza Rima See: [http://www.poems-and-quotes.com/misc/poems.php?id=1096123]
    And See: [http://www.poems-and-quotes.com/life/poems.php?id=1101726]
A Terza Rima is a poem with an eleven syllable count in each line and a rhyming scheme of aba, bcb, cdc, dd.

    Palindrome See: [http://www.poems-and-quotes.com/nature/poems.php?id=1178918]
    and see: [http://www.poems-and-quotes.com/nature/poems.php?id=1173060]
