I have been trying to nominate Abeds new poem since Saturday, and there's no 'vote' button that I can see... Am I punished or...penalized and deprived of my voting right or is it because maybe that poem was some kind of translation? (And I don't think it should be the reason) |

Colm's got it. The reasoning behind it is that it gives the judges time where they have a stable number of poems to vote on. They don't have to worry about casting their votes early Saturday, only to have a poem they like better nominated two hours later. Does that make sense? The poem will be available again after the contest is posted up! |

Yes. You are right, Britt. I just don't understand why... |

Janis put that in force so that the judges wouldn't have to keep checking for more poems, and it keeps the selection the same during their 'judging' time. |

Just to give credit where it is due: the idea of suspending the weekend nominations & allowing the judges more sanity in voting was Nana's. Janis implemented it by the mods' request passed on from her. |
