I try to capture air within my lungs,
But I cannot see my legs are spun-
Up, in what many people see-
As love.
My eyes are wide open and the only thing I see is you,
Not even the deep blue behind me captures my attention.
For the rest of my life I could say that I am done,
And that I've completed what I wanted;
That I have won.
Why you may ask?
Because I have found the one,
The one that leaves me breathless.
The one that I can lay my head to rest,
Where I can close my eyes and capture the wonderful feeling of love.
I've won what most people want to capture,
I've captured a love-
A true love,
A breathless love.

So the official winner is Xanthe with the acrostic breathless....You did a fantastic job, and it really stood out to me...I will rate your poems and comment on them as soon as possible, and reccomend your work to others! Everyone did a great job though and I was extrememly happy with how many submitted their work... so thank you everyone!

Yes congrats! :) I loved that one also, but there were so many good ones on here! I would have hated to make the decisions! But great job and congrats to the winner!

I will continue to do more contests every once in a while...but only when i have a good idea for one :)
