Dreams
in the dream, i work in a diner. i hold pot of coffee in my right hand. white socks pout at my ankles. the customers look up at me from their breakfast food. out of the window i can see that it's night time. the whole dream, i just wanted more. i woke up thirsty.
zainab says that we can train ourselves to remember our dreams. i've been trying.
there was another dream where his eyes were the same colour as the sea in a postcard someone sends you when they love you but not enough, to stay.
last night on the train home, in the artificial light of the carriage, i saw a couple lean into one another until they fell asleep. i put my hands in my coat pockets and thought 'i'm an extra in their film'. and what a wonderful film it was.

Yaks - I know how it is to feel stranded. To me, it seems impossible to not want to be stranded on an island in the Caribbean, haha, but I know it's different when it's the place you've always been. I guess you are just responsible for providing your island with all the art! People will flock from continents away to visit Aruba, center of artistic vision.

All we have is an awesome beach, you can live and feed all your lust for life on that... Do you want skin cancer or.... No seriously take me somewhere with all the colors of autumn, some chilly cold wind where i can rock fall wear... Hahahahahah.... The only people who have it good here on this island are people who make 5k plus. They can afford it, entertaiment here is extremely expensive..... The tourist come to aruba for the beaches but besides for souveniers they don't shop here its way tooooo expensive. Like beyond.

Yaks - Yeah, I suppose it would be hard for someone like me to live in Aruba year-round. My poor pink skin would get so sad. And living on the beach would probably mean that I'd have to abandon my "yeti" look at shave my legs more than once a month....haha.

I'm made for spring and fall. I wish you could hang out here in Wisconsin with me right now! All the trees are yellow, and there's a chilly wind blowing across the lake, but it's sunny and blue-skied. A lovely fall day. As long as you have warm socks.
