well normlaly its pretty self explanatroy .. hes unsure of where the relatiosnhip is headed maybe unsure if itll get moe serious or long term or mayeb thers a problem in the relationship.you can always try askign him yourself where he sees the relationship headed and ask him why he feels the way he does depending on what answer he give syou.
