Title Toss Challenge

Please choose from the following list, and use this as your prompt or title for your poem. you may use more than one prompt. And you also may submit up to 2 poems per person.

Poems are due in on Tuesday night, and I will post them for voting on Wednesday.

Two questions: what exactly is a 'prompt'? And then: no other rules otherwise at all, anything goes?

A prompt is just something that inspires you. So a word, a photograph, a person, a theme etc.

This is really simple, you just pick one of the above titles, and you use it to write your poem. No other rules. Some people use it for their title, other people like adding it into their poem instead.

So in theory, I could basically weave all of them into the same poem (though that'd probably be tricky like mad)?

And the title itself, does it have to be any of the fifteen, or is the theme (and/or explicit usage of the phrases) enough?

You just write whatever you want, as long as you use something in the list above inside your poem, or the title.

The usual members who write these ones often try and use all 15 in the same poem.

Just write a poem, seriously there are no rules. It just gets people writing that is all

3 poems in - all very different. Good job guys.

Didn't quite get them all in, but the ones I did felt natural. This kind of thing is really fun! Much more so than counting syllables or obsessing over rhyme-schemes.

I wrote my poem. And I love it. Can't wait to see everyones poems.
