I love Chistmas crackers. The cheap ones for their cheesy gags and the expensive ones for the nice gifts. |

Yes, I would love to have my cracker pulled by a number of fine wome....people on this site, but Michael, Ingrid, and Peter are right up there along with a few other friendly and supportive members on this site: Meena, Andrea, Dagmar, Noor, etc. |

Gosh some people can turn anything into something ''naughty''... that's why I had to be extra careful with our study groups in uni |

Ok, after Googling it I find that it is custom for an entire table to pull their crackers at once. You hold your own cracker in your right hand and pull your neighbors cracker with your left hand. (Sorry, Zarha, it just comes out that way.) |

Cracker as in fire cracker would have been after assuming Christmas Crackers where something that goes good with cheese or that you crack Christmas nuts with (we had nuts at Christmas more so than another other celebration in the States lol Larry gave me the idea to google it |

I think you guys should all order them on line for next Christmas...we would NEVER have Christmas lunch/dinner without them...as Michael said, the corny jokes, the paper hats and the cheap plastic toys are a must in the UK and here in Australia. I still can't believe so many of you have been missing out!!! |

I looked at them online too, but it'll have to wait until next year. I'm very broke after Christmas shopping. |

Fools. You don't just pull crackers with people you like. You pull crackers with people who are weak. Otherwise no present for you. I like to choose the elderly and small children, which also makes me look like a nice person. |

Great idea, Abby. Looks like everything is commonly available in the USA except the snaps. They may be tricky. |

I had never heard of a Christmas Cracker before reading this post, even though my husband is British. And even stranger, while working Christmas Day, one of the patients family members brought in the crackers. Had a nice discussion about the custom. To my surprise they left a nice Christmas Cracker in my mailbox at work which I Pulled with Barry last night! Fun! |
