More Questions regarding the new site.

Just bumping this up to see if the mods have any more theories? It can't be that the site blocks them out when the new week starts otherwise both would not be eligible for nomination now.

I think this is something that would require Janis. If Mark can't fix it, it's up to our site admin.

I just wanted to make sure you guys were aware of this and put it on a query list for Janis when he returns.

Oh okay! If it's not already on the honey-do list, I'll add it now. Thank you for bringing the issue to our attention. Hopefully Janis comes back soon.

Question will there be or is there an app for this site? I'm always on my phone and I don't have access to a computer much that's why I ask

Basically a mobile friendly version already exists if you save it to your home-screen.

I never use a computer to get online. The mobile version is better than an app could be, I think

    Why are these threads backwards?
Surely the newest comments/questions should be on the front page/top of the thread leading down to the oldest on later pages.
Scrolling through dozens of old posts before getting to the new ones is a pain.
The first page of this thread is topped by Hellons question 2 months and 3 pages ago (not disrespect Hellon! just using it as an example). I may be naive, but every other site has the newest at the top.

Also is there a place to find out how many reads a poem gets? Likes and comments are lovely, but knowing how many reads by people on and off the site is more important. I'd rather know that 30 people have read my poem than getting one comment or like. Its no use publishing poems if you have no idea of what kind of audience you are getting.

Finally - Some of the poems I would like to post have back stories or explanations. Is there going to be a box at some stage for authors notes at the bottom of the poems?

I know I'm new to the site and I'm finding it confusing, so thankyou for your patience.

    Welcome, Paul

I agree re the chronological order of the posts. Until Janis finds that our logic is impeccable I've developed the work around to immediately hit the ">>" tab & then hit "end" to get to the latest post.
Also, the <back> link takes you out of thread quickest.

The read-count feature used to be on the old site. Janis will be installing it in the indefinite future here.

Back stories either can be placed at the bottom of the poem (I separate it from the poem by a line of ********) or in the first comment. I've done it both ways.

    Thankyou Larry
What? A computer programmer that doesn't understand logic lol.
Its only in the forums, the poems and comments are the right way round.
I'll have to do the (******) thing, the 1st comment thing has the same problem as this forum thread but in reverse. People have to scroll to the end of the comment thread to see the authors note that way.
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, I am a tech retard so find new sites confusing and difficult to use. I'll get there though, and the help seems to be there from you moderators.
    Thanks again
