I would like to see how nonchallant you would be if someone won a contest with your poem and you got 0 credit, watching the plagiarizer getting hundreds of votes and tons of comments- not that that's likely to happen anyway.

Eirisa did the right thing in reporting the stolen poems. A mod delt with it, end of story. All your arguing isn't going to change what happened, all you can do is report them when you see them and let the mods take care of it.

Plagiarism is such a lie. It is saying, “I wrote this. This is MY work.” When in reality, it’s not.

This made me laugh. Take the time to do what? Select, copy, and post? There is no time in that. I guess by this logic, we could say, “Well, he DID steal my plasma TV screen, but I should be positive, because they took the time, and effort to steal my TV, because they wish they had the money and the life that I do. I’m so flattered!!!”

I seem to remember a certain someone making a topic in the forums titled, “Am I the only competitive poet here?” and it was YOU, basically saying, “I write to be the best. To compete with other people.”

Of course it can’t be stopped, because of people like YOU that don’t give a flying crap about it! You see a plagiarized poem, what do you do? Sit there and say, “Oh well, can’t be helped,” and then call everyone who TRIES to help, pointless and unreasonable? Or do you do something about it?

Seriously though, if you're going to be so nonchalant about plagiarism, stop writing. It's the TOP offense in the writing world.

It's almost like saying,
"This man was murdered."
"Oh well, can't be helped I guess. The guy's already dead. There's no sense in going after the killer. In fact, the dead guy should be flattered that his murderer was so jealous of him, that he had to take his life."

If you don't catch plagiarizers, they will keep doing it.

Born, tons of us have given you reasons why it's wrong.

Here's my advice for you:

1. Learn to read, because apparently you're having a hard time.
2. Go back through this post and read the umpteen reasons we have given to support the fact that it's wrong.
3. Learn when to stop fighting a losing battle.
