Whats the reason some accounts are suspended? I clicked on someones name and it said account suspended... Can anyone fill me in? How long is it suspended?

I wonder why the punishment is only suspension...I think they should be banned all together.

Yes, she did. And supposedly she commited suicide because she got caught. HAH.

She didnt commit suicide because she was caught. She tried because her dad beat her and her sisters. Dont tell the story if you dont know, and its not a joking matter.

Broken inside, I think you're cute (because of how incredibly ignorant you are.)

First of all, you cannot keep telling us that this girl is supposedly such a fantastic writer, because if she plagerized once, she most likely did the same to all of her other works.

Second, I highly doubt this girl attempted suicide considering about 90% of the people on this site who complain about their fathers beating them or about to end their own lives, are indeed lying (and we do have proof of this if you would like me to show you.)
Also, you cannot really trust that she actually was about to commit suicide and has such a hard family life considering that she is indeed a plagerizer, and once a plagerizer always a liar. (not to mention how she got "caught" right before she was about to commit the act...hmm how conveniant.)

Maybe you're the one who needs to get to know the story. Most likely this girl was sitting at her computer admiring all the attention she was getting for her fake drama.

She very well could have all those issues...but I highly, HIGHLY doubt it.

pinkalias, if you read the post before yours, I said, good point there, when bob pointed out that she wasnt the one who wrote the poems. I didnt think of that. Hailie and her sister are two amazing people, and, I for one, beleive that she did, she was in the hospital, and her sister kept everyone updated on how she was. I don't need to prove anything, I just asked a simple question, not trying to cause fights here.

As i stated before broken...I had not thoroughly looked into that. If you choose to though i do believe somewhere in sadness/depression is where that comment was stated (and as far as I read, proved) so, if you choose, go take a look.

You said you hadnt looked into it, but then you said again she was lying about her whole life... so I was just wondering if maybe you had some proof her life is a lie.

Apologies, I was directing that statement to the first comment that she was pretending to be her non-existant sister, which i still need to look into.

I have no more proof than you, but I suggest before you accuse someone of lying, or pretending to be someone they are not, you should get the facts straight so it doesnt turn into something it doesnt need to.

Well Broken I consider myself to have plenty of right to write those things about her considering that she is indeed a plagerizer. In commiting that act, she lost all trust within herself as a member on this site.
if someone steals a piece of art, I have every damn right to call them a liar as I please and make as many negative assumptions about her as I want.

Pink, I really don't mean to butt in on this conversation, but I don't understand how you could have the nerve to call Broken ignorant.

You're talking about a girl you don't even know. I'm not sticking up for Hallie because I don't stick up for plagiarizers, but you are the ignorant one here.

I agree that Hallie COULD be playing this whole thing and be faking her sisters identity, but you don't know that.

You and broken are equally ignorant in this situation.

By the way, it is spelled "plagiarizer" and "committing".

It was just a simple suggestion, you have the right to say whatever you want, I just suggest you don't to avoid sticky situations. And like I said, I stick up for people I care about. I'm not going to beleive she is pretending to be her sister, without facts, they both seem like sweet people to me. As for stealing the poem, it was a mistake. Everyone knows it was wrong if she did, but why make such a big deal about it? There is a lot more people who do that, and no one makes a big deal. You remind me of my sister in law, you appear to like drama.

plagiarizing IS a big deal, and is always treated the same on this site. The only proof we have that she didn't do it is her words.
The neccessary actions were made with her suspension, and about her suicide attempt well... I guess we'll never know the truth. But everyone will have their opinions.

Forgotten i see your point, and believe me out of other circumstances I would have completly backed off without more proof than I had already. The reason why I think her saying she knows this girl is ridiculous is because they are "online friends"
I don't know about you but personally I think anything stated about a person whom you're meeting online cannot be taken to pure truth unless there were some serious exceptions.

Also, I got incredibly pissed at the last post because broken stated that plagerism wasn't a big deal.

Bob, You are so right, I am 37 and have one true friend..can you even imagine....all of the ppl you have known in your life, and you can only call 4 ppl , and in my case, 1 person, a true friend. And about that hiding the body thing..let me tell you..ooops..never mind!

As far as Hailey goes, what can I say. I defended her once and got burned. Though she posted great poems it is very hard for me to believe that her plagerizing was an accident, especially since it was proven that more than once poem was plagerized.

Pink: you are absolutely right for not trusting and believing everything you read about Hailey, but then again we need to give those that do care about her a break. Her friends did not plagerize and should not be liable for her actions; nor, should her friends be condemmed for feeling as though they care about Hailey.

Now, for my real bitch session here (sorry everyone, but I am a little pissed and must explode!)

PLAGERIZING is not only wrong, but it is also a CRIME. Saying that PLAGERIZING is not a big deal is also like saying that stealing is no big deal. So if stealing is no big deal then kidnapping must be allowed as well.

Hmmm... afterall both PLAGERIZING and kidnapping is simply stealing something that another person has put their heart and soul into....

I know it is kinda far fetched, but it is all along the same lines.

If Hailey is truly in that situation then my heart goes out to her for noone should live that kind of life; trust me I know from experience.

But, I cannot believe a hundred percent that she is totally honest. If she was then she never would have plagerized to begin with. A plagerizer is a thief and a lier. If a person will stoop to steal anothers word, writings, fealings, and personal tragidies (forgive the spelling), then that same person who plagerized will continue to lie about anything just to seek the attention that they crave.

I respect both sides of this debate. I personally do not think that Hailey has it as bad as she and others say, but I do respect the feeling of those that seem to care for her.

I also respect and fully understand Pink, and in my own opinion I think pink is right on the money. Though I respect the feelings of those surrounding Hailey, I am entitled to my feelings too. I feel that Janis was right to suspend Hailey's account and I think that everything we have been told regarding her life is beyond the truth.

There you have it... I believe that since she has lied to us before she could and would do it again!

(BUT the only reason why I was argueing with broken was because she was trying to justify her actions, and I think nothing justifies plagerism (sp) )
