Ex-Boyfriends

Is it possible to be best friends with your Ex. Me and my ex stuart were really good mates before we went out and then we went out it was awful we argued and everything then we "agreed" to just be mates. At first it was uncormfortable. but now we are closer than ever. We even talk about this girl he likes. but he is a wimp and would never ask her out!! :P lol! We would NEVER EVER go back out with each other. God no. But its nice to know tht he will always be there. *sigh* hhhmmm....lol.

yup, because maybe you love him, but only as a friend. That's why you guys couldn't be together as a couple. It's always good to have someone who will be there for you ^^

I hate it when you break up with a guy...and you just don't talk anymore. Consider all the good times that you had! Me and most of my ex's are still real good mates today...yeah...sure it's a bit awkward to start off with...but there is some sort of chemistry! My best mate now is an ex of mine...he's a proper sweetie and i love him to bits. Sometimes it's better to just be mates with people...the friendships always seem to last longer!

well it can go either way. one of my best friends if my ex and i tell him everything, we were just ment to be friends but one of my other ex's we said when we broke up we would be friends but were not anymore, but theres reasons for that

Sometimes....I have one ex-boyfriend who I am still friends with. We have known each other for five years and dated for 6 months. When we see each other we do hug and do the whole how have you been routine. He is awesome and I know I can call him ANY time for any reason and he will be there for me, and he can do the same. But then there are a couple other ex-boyfriends who I can't stand. I think it just depends on the person and the type of relationship you shared.

...hey is alll crazy gravy. I went out with this guy for like two months tops. It didnt feel right. It was more like he was a brother to me then a boyfriend. it just was wierd kissing him even. So that didnt last very long. At first we went out because we both wanted to be dating. But then we ended up breaking up and becoming best friends. But he still has that 'protection' thing over me. Like if something was to ever happen to me. He'd die for me, thats how close we are. And i'd die for him. I just feel really good recently because the girl i hooked him up with a while ago, well... they're engadged. :D

I'm not sure, I think it depends how you broke up in the first place. I had a really bad break up with my ex and now he wants to be friends. I can't just be ''friends'' with him, I always remember how badly he treated me and I don't need a friend like that. I can't forgive him.
My opinion.

The only thing it depends on is the people. If you BOTH are strong enough to deal with it then it can work other wise it's useless. I can deal with my exboyfriend having a new girl and seeing them together, because I have moved on as well. I am an adult about it and talk to him and his girl. I wouldn't throw pop corn at them in the movies or anything like that...(I might trip the bitch by "accident") No, I wouldn't, I'm just teasing. But seriously the only thing that matters is that both partners or "friends" can deal with it because it can be a stressful situation. Especially if it was serious. I'm not talking a middle school - high school one week relationship either. I'm talking serious relationships....anyone can date someone for a week and still be cool with them. Hell in high school everyone dated everyone and their best friends. A serious relationship would make the situation different.

well i guess it kinda depens on the situation...i went out with my best friend and when we broke up we didn't talk anymore...then again i went out with this guy matt this year and we didn't really work out but we stayed friends and now he's one of my best friends and i love him to death!!
