Ok... i watched a film about a student (14) who had this major crush on this teacher (quite old lol) and to cut a long story short, they fell in love, had sex etc and then she got him prosecuted. Because she said no the first time. |

Teachers should be mature enough to say no, and realise what they are doing. No matter how old, you should not get in any kind of relationship with a student. |

I agree with you all... but people who have been in that situation.. (not me) their view would probably be "you cant help who you fall in love with" |

I liked a teacher once, but it wasnt to that extreme...He was young and he kept inviting me out to dinner and everything...I got too scared after a while and called the whole thing off because he started getting really awkward around me. It is true you can't help who you fall in love with. |

I believe that a teacher/student relationship is unacceptable. A teacher has, some sort of responsibilty to uphold a strictly professional relationship with a student. Teachers have to sign something to say they won't get involved with a student, so if they do get involved with a student they are breaking their contract, therefore giving the Board Of Education every right to dismiss them. Okay, for sure, if anyone wants to go ahead and pursue a 'love' then go for it... But a teacher needs to think hard about whether they want to chase something that may only be a short term 'fling' or maintain a career. |
