Ok... i watched a film about a student (14) who had this major crush on this teacher (quite old lol) and to cut a long story short, they fell in love, had sex etc and then she got him prosecuted. Because she said no the first time.
What are your views on this whole teacher & student thing!!

Teachers should be mature enough to say no, and realise what they are doing. No matter how old, you should not get in any kind of relationship with a student.

I agree with you all... but people who have been in that situation.. (not me) their view would probably be "you cant help who you fall in love with"

I liked a teacher once, but it wasnt to that extreme...He was young and he kept inviting me out to dinner and everything...I got too scared after a while and called the whole thing off because he started getting really awkward around me. It is true you can't help who you fall in love with.

I believe that a teacher/student relationship is unacceptable. A teacher has, some sort of responsibilty to uphold a strictly professional relationship with a student. Teachers have to sign something to say they won't get involved with a student, so if they do get involved with a student they are breaking their contract, therefore giving the Board Of Education every right to dismiss them. Okay, for sure, if anyone wants to go ahead and pursue a 'love' then go for it... But a teacher needs to think hard about whether they want to chase something that may only be a short term 'fling' or maintain a career.

teachers should be smarter than that....

they are there to teach....not to do that kind of stuff with students....thats just not right

thats possible....but the they should have someone better than that teaching at a school.....

if they are going to give in to someone over half their age...then they REALLY dont need to be teaching
