Leave the piece of poetry you are most proud to have written...but not more than 4 lines or so...that would be boring...

Hopefully, this will end up being a collection with the highlights from the best writers here...

This must not be mistaken for a "request to read"..thing...

So come on=D (I'll write mine after some posts=)

They disbelieved the words I tried to say
Shrouded all notions that I could convey
The day has come and I just stand and sigh
I watch them fall in numbers from the sky

    Something like that?

I hate the skinny little twats
    with hoods and baseball hats

    Intense satisfaction inserting the blade
an X to the forehead his mark displayed
    viciously mutilating subsequently obsessed
bloody and slaughtered a triumphant quest

Caught within a trance, unable to relate.
Slipping into time, holding hands with fate.

Stumbling over hope, as I cleave to sanity.
I melt within the sun, forfeiting reality.

Wow, you are all really good.

Jharrison: Your poem, wooden horse, was the reason why I put you on my fav list some weeks ago..

    Bret: excellent=)

For there in the dark, where no one can see
Wanders this lady, so graceful is she
that the trees bow in wonder, and the flowers in awe,
but alone she will walk, the girl no one saw.

    That is mine=)

Come on people, bring it on!

My world is spinning out of control
    every things going crazy
i tried to put my life on hold
    then everything seemed so hazy
    i wanna go far away

maybe not the best...but it fits the moment.

Pretend that it’s only me that your untamed heart desires
Romance me with hot kisses, ignite my tempestuous fires
Enter my sultry softness as I nibble on your ear
Tell me those sweet lies that I need so desperately to hear

Cupid, you tainted angel, are you teasing me?
Piercing my heart with your illusive arrow?
How could my foolish desire be pleasing thee?

this is the first lines of a villanelle I wrote as a challenge from soul poetry It is now published

    posted on this site 'Infatuation'

Achte, what a tricky one....pah..here you go...

    I went low
mostly alone and content with things
    yet Butterfly ways show
    touching always harms the wings

    This Silent Angel's fallen
    A blessing from a Priest
    The only words spoken are
    Im sorry...Rest In Peace

From my poem "Thank you Jesus"

    I can't imagine the tears
that you must cry every day
it must truly break your heart
    to watch us go astray

I don't know if this is my best. But i like this part

And when you catch the world's tears
That shine right through our fellow sun
Your heaven will answer all your prayers
And you'll know your life has just begun

    From my poem Persistent Silence:

The fallacies those minds had lived in
    Strove for misguided perfection
Each spoken word weighed heavy with law
To find each thought with a flaw
Thus a culture built on lies.

    a new one from me:

From "Shooting Seagulls of the Sky"

    Were they annoying,
or did their blatant calls trouble you?
    Did you too often think
That freedom was in their song?
