I'm curious...

My best friend's uncle's getting married to this nice lady with a really, really pretty daughter... they get along really well and I think she's perfect for him...

But, sadly, he thinks people will think it's disgusting because they're in a way, sort of "related" and it'll be in a way technically "incest". He's worried people will laugh at him... She really likes her and I KNOW he likes her...

Is it really that bad? Do you think it's really that gross? I mean, they're not blood related and it's not like they're gonna be stepbrother/siter... they'll be legally related but only just...

I really want him to be happy and I haven't seen him this happy in years...

They're teenagers.

someone that i know....cant call her a friend cause ya, anyways.....shes dating her sorta cousin....

like her aunt was married to someone....and his uncle was married to someone......well the aunt got a divorce, and the uncle got a divorce, around the same time.....and then they got together.....

so now her aunt and his uncle are married....so theyre cousins only by marriage.....but theyre dating........

basically your friends situation........... it just depends on the people that live there and how they are......the people here dont think too much about it, but also their family doesnt know either.....

so it really just depends

I personally think it's ridiculous... they like each other, they're not really related, they have every right to be with each other right? I mean, it just so happenes that his uncle met the girl's mother first... if it had been the teens that met first, the two parents won't be saying no I can't go out with this person because it'll be incest because our kids are dating.. they'd just go for it because they know the family pretty well and their friends wouldn't think twice about it either...

i think jackie pointed that out clearly enough...they're not blood related so there is nothing to worry about. some people may turn up their noses at them datin or whatever but as long as they are happy together it shouldnt matter. just geive them ur support and let em know that ur happy for them!
