7 weeks!

    My school dance is coming up in 7 weeks and I want to look really good. Unfortunately, I put on quite a bit of weight this year due to my grandmother (who thought I needed fattening up!!) staying with us!

    I'm not looking for sculpted abs or anything, I just wanna trim my stomach down so it's flat again.

    What's a really good exercise for burning fat? I've switched to salads and snack on fruits now. And I also go for a 20 minute run/jog/walk every morning. Any suggestions?

    thanks. yeah, I do about 25 every morning, every afternoon and ever night. Not much but, yeah.. I'm kinda lazy...

    Only eat dehydrated water. It's fantastic. And Splenda. Although that tastes funky.

    Go for a slow - pace 30 minute walk every afternoon after school and drink water as a replacement for soda and other carbonated drinks. You may also want to visit your local rec center with some friends to play basketball or use the weight room. And no fast food unless it's a veggie salad. Diet and exercise are the best way to lose weight. I'm sure you look fine now, but if you insist on losing some poundage to fit into that hot dress you're eyeballing at the mall, do thisfor about four weeks and you'll be looking great.

    Actually, scientific studies show that long walks are better than quick jogs, because it gives the body more time to burn fat and the action lasts longer after you stop than if you had jogged for a fourth of the time [quick start, quick stop].

    Is that a problem? I'm a girl and I'm as strong as or stronger than many guys my age. And she's looking to lose a few pounds, not bulk up with muscle like Chyna [WWE].

    Cool. So walking? That's fine by me since I walk to and back from school anyway. But, I'll try walking around after school also.
