Ok so I'm the sort of freak who looks for snowflake (that's the big winter dance at our school-like a prom but less important) dresses before school even starts. So I'm bored and wanted to know if anyone knows where I can get a good cheap (under $100) dress, that not everyone on the face of the universe will have. Can't be too "gown-ish" more like a cocktail dress. And I don't wear animal products, so I don't wear silk, leather ect. Thanx

Your not going to find a cocktail dress at Hot Topic or Torid. Try Macys. I got a cute dress there for $60.

Actually, you'd be suprised... I got a great dress for homecoming at Hot Topic. It was an ankle-length black dress with iridescent red thread work, long flowy sleeves and a black corset that laces up in the front. I can say that I was gorgeous that night. and I have the pictures to prove it.

I Agree With The Above Post, I Think That Dresses Are Very Common At Stores Like That, If You Want To Be Diffrent Try An Uncommon Store Or You Can Order a Cute Dress Online (Its Plenty Out There!)...But If You Just Want That One Special Dress And You've Made Your Mind Up About It...You Can Type In The Dress Your Looking For On Yahoo And Do a Local Search As Well To Find a Store (Just My Opinion) xoxo-Nikki-xoxo

Try Ross if you want something that not everyone else has. Or, go to a vintage store, you can get cute stuff from the 80's or later there.

Be creative, and make your own, for my prom or co-ed if i go i want a dress made out of duct tape or capri sun pouches(my friend has a purse out of the it awesome!) but just make one hard work ohh ya, but i can gaurentee no one will have it ...also try colorful pplastic wrap(with something not see through under it of corselol) news paper...any thing really, just be creative, thats what i wanna do...and you can say "i made my dress" and look round at 5 others with the same dress and say, cute dress did you plan this? lol

mean i know, but try my idea!

    best of luck!

If there's an Esoterica in your area, check them out. They're a New Age/Pagan type store, but they have nice dresses for the ladies.
