Today in my history class, we had a really umm..interesting converstation I was wondering what you guys have to say on it.

"Why is it that men who like to have sex a lot are gratified, called hot rods/studs ( according to my history teacher), and looked up too. Yet, girls who like sex..a lot are called whores? Mr. Luter King had sex with multiple women, and only one of them was his wife, yet we dont call him a whore or a slut."

So, if you have any ideas/comments on this unique history lesson, let me know. Thanks. And please...be serious. Just because it says *gasp sex* doesnt mean its an oppurtunity to be immature. Thanks.

    My guess:
    - Tradition, according to Mary Astill ( i think) women are not naturaly sexualy..arosed.
women were supposed to cook, clean ect. But, thats my only guess.
    Any one else?!

It's partially the media's fault. For example, if you see rap videos on the t.v. today, you see girls shaking their bare bumoleys cuz it arouses the guys.

I'm personally disgusted. I hate rap. And like Britt said, men are well known for their "sex drive" and women were originally made out to be as prim and proper and very clean-cut.

Now that we're developing our own senses of individuality, we see girls who do that as slutty. It's disgraceful and degrading to other women because some of them actually WORK for a living to earn a solid reputation. And, naturally, if a girl would rather sell her body, or what she was born with, instead of WORKING diligently for a living in this new age and time, then they're frowned upon.

Men have also had everything handed to them. Why should sex be any different?

The media has a lot to do with it but also we have to look at ourselfs and our friends how many times have you are someone you know made a comment like look at the whore just because she dated someone we liked or because she is more free with herself. We end up putting alot of that stereotype on ourselfs and others
