Definitely George Orwell, because he has succeeded where others have failed to make political art. His writings are so profound despite the apparent simplicity that lies in history and politics. For this, he is my favourite author. Wilde and other aesthets have also caught my attention significantly over the last years.

♥I Have Three Favorites...And Here They Are

♥ Joan Lowrey Nixon- The Queen Of Mystery Novels, The Suspense She Captures In All Of Her Books Leave You Shocked, Amazed, And Thirsting For More! I Rate Her Books On a Scale From 1-10 As a 10, I Grew Up Reading Her Stories, I Admire Her Skill

♥ John Grisham- The Author Of Many Books That Have Turned Into Big Movies, Such As "The Runaway Juror", Pelican Brief, And Much More! What Makes Me Like Him So Much Is Because He Wanted To Actually Be a Pro Baseball Star, And He Found That His True Destiny Was In Writing, I Think Thats Pretty Cool...My Favorite Book Of His Is "The Last Juror"

♥How Can I Forget...."Phillis Wheatley"...She Was a Slave In London, Who Wrote The First Book Of Poems To Be Published By An African American Intitled "Poems On Various Subjects, Both Relgious And Moral" I've Read That Book Three Times, It Was Really Good Considering She Wrote It During a Time In History Where African Americans Weren't Allowed To Have Education...She Inspired Many Others To Publish Their Work....

Mark Twain, the best of the best. For his sheer creativity with words and situations, Mark Twain (aka Samuel Longhorn Clemens) deserves recognition. Twain was not afraid to say what was unpopular and even taboo in his time, and was able to give the reader a sober message even as he made them laugh their fool head off. Hats off to a true American.

I'd have to say Nicholas Sparks. The way he writes about love just makes it seem worth falling into. It's always a captivating story and just a beautiful romance!
I also enjoy the Harry Potter books by JK Rowling. That's hilarious since I'm like 27 years old, but oh well!

Tom Clancy. He's top of the top. His books are just amazing works. Many of them even make it to movies (like "hunt for the red october", "flight of the intruder" and more)

I'm wondering how Anne Rice fans are going to react to her latest book which is due out today. It is going to be totally different from all the past books on which her popularity and reputation were built.

My favorite author is John grisham. I love his books. If you haven't read his books than I would suggest reading " The Chamber" It is long but you will be a huge fan if you read this. I also like Stephen King and Mary Higgins Clark.
