You have to ask yourself who is doing the educating and why.

Ismails point, or sentence is a valid idea, but i think in reality things are a little more complex than that simplified viewpoint.

we have to remember that the governments of the world control education, and it's in their interests to have people who are educated for specific purposes, IE to leave school and keep the society they have set up running as it should by taking the jobs they are academically suited for.

For the general population, and by that a i mean most blue collar workers, which in todays times means office workers...a simple generalised education is fine, you get your math and english and a language which you never use...and some basic science which you never use...and off to you to work for the civil service....part of the superstructure...the functionalist dream.

This is the reason why privatly schooled people tend to have better jobs when they become adults...it is expected of them....and they are groomed for such things from the get go.

So yeah. If you can, get your kids out of school and home educate them...do it in a group of like minded people so your kids can socialize...they might just grow up to be free thinkers.
