    Thursday is T-Day. In the U.S. it's the biggest travel weekend of the year. And Friday, the day after Thanksgiving is the biggest retail shopping day of the year.

    So what are you doing?

    Travel, pig out, chill, or whatever?, Anything interesting, or even not so interesting, going on with you during the holidays?

    I will start my day cooking all morning . Then I have to go to work for a few hours. Then it's off to my older brother's house. I love our family get togethers, I have 3 brothers & 2 sisters with 21 children between us.
    It's always pretty loud, but sooo much fun. We laugh like you wouldn't believe. I absolutely love my family. They are so much fun to be around. I can't wait until Thursday!!!

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

    I think thanksgiving is my least favorite holiday. Listening to my relatives tell me that i'm either too skinny or too fat, or that I should do something with my hair, all while they rip apart an innocent bird for their comsuption. But friday I'm definatly going shopping with my friends , that will be fun :)

    I'll get the baking out of the way tomorrow night and get the turkey spice rubbed with cajun seasoning. Thanksgiving I'll spend the day with my son, cooking and chillin'. It is his first holiday without his mom (she tried to kill him) so we are having a family Thanksgiving and my fiancee will come by for dinner. This year is special in our house. It is the first Thanksgiving I have looked forward to since my mother died on Thanksgiving in 1990. This year, we have many things to give thanks for and it will be a celebration of the present and a view of the future.

    I'm pretty much getting to where I'm supposed to be and eating. That's all there is to it... have the parents do the work, and you "complete" it.

    Happy Thanksgiving. Gobble?

    For me, this Thanksgiving means having 16 house guests staying through the weekend. 18 more are staying at my aunt & uncle's house where we are having a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for an estimated gathering of 60 family members and friends. It's a joint effort and I'm handlng about 1/3 of the cooking, something I really enjoy doing. My aunt has been hosting this event every year for as long as I remember and, as the family has grown, our Thanksgiving gathering has expanded. Everyone brings their sleeping bags and we always have a really fun weekend.

    When I was little, my Father used to pack us all in the car and we would drive the 300 mile distance to my aunt's house where we would stay for the holiday weekend. My parents still do the long drive but lucky me, my house is only a 15 minute drive from my aunt's home.

    This will be my first Thankgiving holiday spent with my boyfriend. He is arriving Wednesday with his son and his mother, whose company I really enjoy. I'm excited.

    ~~~~~~HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL~~~~~~
    My parents will probably stay up working until late,if we're lucky we'll be able to catch a movie, then head home for dinner and sleep...
    Although dad did mention that it would be a good idea to have a vacation together soon. We don't spend enough time together as a family.
    Oh, did I get a pleasant surprise today!
    My daughter has been living in Mexico for the past 6 months. I thought she would be arriving this evening along with my parents. But sometime late last night she rolled in here and this morning she said "Mom, I want to cook for Thanksgiving."
    That was almost like winning the lottery. ;-)
