Moving?

Okay this a maybe and far in advance to the actual thing, but if we do, and if we switch school districts and I have to make all new freinds and start over knew... Well I'd like some advice. I'm from a place where you know everyone in your grade and lots of people in grade blow or above you, I've lived here all my life and one of my biggest fears has always been moving. I'm shy in places where I don't know anyone, I'm outgoing and wacky in places where I'm comfitable and know people... But I'm very sucluded when I'm not comfitable and shy and I act a little strange.
There's also the fact that my school is one of those really sweet schools where the worst thing we have is a group of 'punks' who aren't that bad at all. I don't know what to expect from another school and I'm a little shy about making new friends. I'll also have trouble keep intouch with my old friends. I'm too shy to use a phone, which is funny considering what I'm like while I'm with my friends. :D

well jus work on your ppl skillz. when i moved i was so shy but most ppl are nice and they'll come up to you and talk to you. jus start talkin back its really not all that bad. you jus end up makin more friends and gettin more socially active. dont worry

OHMYGOD!! I know exactly what you mean.

I just moved in with my dad for the next 6 months (before he moves to Virginia this summer) and he lives in Florida. I've lived in Georgia my entire life and all of my friends are there...i'm starting school the week after this week and I don't know a single person in this state that isn't family related. I'm scared crapless, but all of my friends assure me that I'm the easiest person to get along with and very sweet and funny and I'll do just fine...i guess I just have to have faith in them and myself and what happens--happens.
