I will be posting a new poem soon, and it is true, everyword of it. I am giving up all literature except for school... I am losing to many friends by my genre of poetry, so i have decided to put down my pen. I am going to be online now and again, but i will no longer write short stories or poems... I will miss you all, and please don't let my decision affect yours. Please keep your ink flowing, and watch out for a poem entitled, "My Last Poem Ever" cause that will be my last poem ever. I bid you all good luck. Feel free to add me to your buddy list on AIM: "yellowfeverlime" hotmail: "yellowfeverlime@hotmail.com" yahoo: "yellowfeverlime" and icq i will edit this later to include my ICQ number! I WILL MISS YOU ALL SO MUCH, AND THANKS FOR GIVING ME THE COURAGE TO KEEP ON LIVING! ALL MY LOVE! please keep my poetry alive, and please DON'T FORGET ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 |

I am sure you have thought about you decision a lot so what I am going to say might be old news. Writing is a gift and from what it seems you have been given the talent to be able to use it well. If your poems/stories, ect affend others, then your best bet would be to not show your poems to those people but still keep writing. I mean I haven't read yours yet, but I want to. Writing is an expression people on this site appreciate a lot, and it seems like you do too so I wouldn't quit yet. Maybe make a new user or something? Just a thought. Good luck hun in whatever you do and I would love to read anymore stuff you want to post! C ya! ^_~ |

What do you do when writing causes your parents to almost send you to a mental institution. My parents have forbidden me from writing for pleasure... but i had to hide from them. Sneak a pen in my pants (weird, i know) but i am tired of hiding my poetry from them. I guess when you read my new poem, when i put it up, maybe you will understand what i am saying, but nobody i know physically likes my poetry, and i am the only one i know who writes... it has gotten annoying... But please don't let my poetry die out... it still feels good to look at the comments, kinda makes me proud... but it's too hard to turn back, and you can't change the past, and it's practically impossible to change what people think of you. What ever happened to the simple piece of advice, "Go with the flow."? |

Well I know my poetry is thought of as kinda creepy and when my parents read it I got shipped off to counseling, so I can get what, definately. But really, if writing is your thing then go for it. Your actions are your own, not others. Do not let others control your life. Your parents can have their view and you yours, they don't have to be the same to make you right. Trust me, my parents and I really disagree on a lot of stuff that I have evidence of showing that it is true, so yeah. You don't have to get along all the time with them. Yes I know you can't change the past, if I could . . . wow I would be in a very different place right now with a lot less scars, but I can't, you can't, no one can, but do not let it taint your future. Good luck baby! |
