help me name my band

hey guys help me name my band. yeah we are emo.... lol i was thinking "black sky tragedy". what do you guys think?

I've always liked Hammer of the Gods or No Quarter

flirting with suicide is cool...black sky tragedy? hmm...it would sound better if it were tragic black sky

Don't try and be too clever or metaphorical, people will just think you are a bunch of wanks. A band name like;

"dark void of sorrow"

just sucks..it's depressing, blunt and just...well..crap...like almost all of the suggestions above, excepting JD Harrisons...which is kinda cool.

now Franz Ferdinand is a cool band name, as is deftones, or Dogs Die In hot cars....they just sound cool...and maybe mean something without trying to be artschool.

One word bandnames are usualy only sound if they don't mean anything too particular, like Queen, or Metallica..long bandnames are usually only good if they are a short sentence thats catchy...but again not introspective, deeply insightful or personal...hence the coolness of say,"We are scientists" as a band name.

Saying that, my bands are called Speedboat and Conflict Diamonds.....but i didn't name them.

Yestaurday's Angels is a really good name.. I would go with that one

I think it's cool, and it's probably better to go with something you created with your band rather than relying on people who don't really know you or your music, though I have to say that some of the suggestions are pretty cool. Worth starting a band just to use the names.

The name came to me in the middle of the night b/c her name is Raysha that's for the Ray and My name is Genoveve and that's the Gen!!
