Advice for growling (like in Blackmetal)

ok yea I always growl, but only to myself, but this one guy heard me growling and decided he wanted me to join his band, and I dunno if I'm good enough so anyone got any helpful advice?

The only way you're gonna find out is if you try...Go for it. And when you're rich and famous rememebr I was the one who told you to take the chance.
