I've been super good friends with my friend Ashley for 7 years. She had been dating this guy named josh for 3 years, all around he seemed like a awesome guy until just recently. A Year ago she left home to move in with him and I've realized that she has huge bruises up and down her arms and legs.... She told me once that she was having a few fights with him but she assured me it was nothing serious, but I must say the state of her body tells a different story. I call often to see if she wants to go out shopping or catch a movie and she always just says "I don't really feel like it today" I'm convinced it has something to do with her boyfriend, so the next time I called I asked her about how things were going she gave me a hurried "Everything’s fine" and I inquired about her arms and she paused for a moment and then her voice turned extremely mean and she said "JUST STAY THE FUCK OUT OF THIS BRIGITTE" and she slammed down the phone. I was so shocked! She'd been my friend for years and all I want to do is help. I understand that it's her business, but I can't stand to see her get hurt. Does anyone have any good advice? |

I thought about talking to her sister but I would feel aweful if she ever found out that I was doing things behind her back. Shes officaly 18 years old making her an adult so i don't really know if I can do that much. From what i can understand shes cut of all connections with her parents. I've reacontly spoken with a co-worker of hers and shes informed me that Ashley has been either not showing up to work or being extreamly late. I'm worried sick about her. I've wondered if maybe if I was a true friend maybe I should tell somone and try and make a difference...... even though that risks her never speaking to me, in the end she may be happier. What do you think? |
