there's haiku: a type of poem that consists of three lines. the first line should have five syllables. the next one- seven syllables. then the last line should have five again. |

There are tons of different styles. The most popular would probaby be Quatrain. This is the style I prefer to write in most of the time. It's done in: a a b b, a b a b, a b b a, or a b c b patterns. |

Actually I am a free styler myself. I don't look at and research how to do the poetry I just write it out and edit things. I take in comments and process them so that I can improve. |

Yeah mostly I do AA BB or ABAB, but once in a while I write poems that don't rhyme at all... and I'm not sure what those are called :) |
