essay i wrote for school (Wouldn't mind feedback)

With the way we’re treating people these days, and the jokes that we make (though they should not be acceptable), we will never have the elimination of racism. We think it’s acceptable to make fun of certain races or religions, or imitate terrorist groups; such as the Nazis, or their leaders, such as Hitler.

Have we forgotten to teach our children how wrong it is to do such acts? Or have we, too, also forgotten? I know I haven’t forgotten. Maybe the problem is we have directed our attention to the urban community too much, and we are shielding our children, and ourselves from the world, and by that we have created a greater ignorance, one that expands past ourselves now, one that will affect the world in 50 or 100 years.

As a society we have claimed to be against such racism, but are we really? We have divided our country into many sections, and our world as well. We have let wars and acts of terrorism go on without a second thought, but why do we? Is it because we are afraid of have an argument with our friends? Well the answer is unknown, but the after effect is. We have let ourselves continue to accept more and more racism without even noticing. Jokes about the Jewish, East Indians, Orientals; these aren’t just jokes, they represent what the world, and society, thinks of them. Who is to say that it will not stop there?

If we don’t stop this our morals on racism will be nothing but just talk and not action. We are more concerned with saying that we are against racism that we have forgotten how to actually stop it.

Now now Bob, I know all of that but i kept it simple because i have a conservetive teacher for english. the last time i wrote waht i really wanted to say i got in a big argument over it and suspened for 8 days. if i can find the first one i will post it.
