Im getting knee surgery in about 3 weeks... and I'm scared. I tore my acl (anterior cruciate ligament) and their doing a scope surgery. Im just wondering if anyone has ever had this type of surgery and if so what it was like?

(ive read up about the subject, but i dont know anyone with first hand experience)

My brother had that surgery when he fell off a hill during a skiing trip. You will be fine, but a bit in pain...and you may feel numb for a while. Trust me though, it is the only way to get you perfectly back on your feet and running again within 2 weeks post surgery. Good luck, and don't worry about it.

Stupid Volleyball, My best friend can't play anymore she tore the same thing and had surgery...Let me tell you do not get nervous..I was more nervous then her..I don't ever bite my nails and the day she had surgery I was watching the clock in school and all my nails were off and the teacher asked me what 12 divded by 144 was and I said blue.....then I get home and she called me and was like "I'm done! It was nothing"...its just the thought that'll get to you like OMG..I'm about to have surgery...but its like one of the easiest and not so much pain surgerys....You'll be on krutches for a while cause my friend was and in therapy every other day or 3 times a week..i will pray that you won't be nervous! Do that therapy so you can play volleyball again! THat's my favorite sport I was middle hiter and broke my elbow last year and I'm scared to play again!

Ah, I know what you mean about your friend's surgery scaring you.

My friend had heart surgery, I cried, and she didn't! I told her not to leave me and I held onto her arm...I was a mess.
