What would you do?

You're in an accident after your car hit a car that turned in front of you. The doctor told you that your baby may have already been damaged by radiation from Xrays and will suffer more from Xrays and drugs used during surgery. You have 3 options
    1) Abort the baby and have immediant surgery
    2) Postpone surgery for 12 weeks or so the fetus would be at a reduced risk from drugs and radiation exposure; however waiting would mean the doctors would have to rebreak your bones.
    3) Have the surgery now and not abort, but risk giving birth to a damaged baby. (a 80% chance)
    What would you do?

I agree. Number 2, whatever the highest chances for the baby to live.

    Probably the second one.

The second one for sure. I'd put my baby's life before me, hands down.

    Tough call

Are any of the people that answered mothers??

    I am

Can't actually answer this without being in the situation though...harsh no - reality no thats why i can't. Given that situation however i must say the decision would be in my partners hands not mine he would authority over my medical treatment id I were too incapacitate to make them myself.

Well if I was a mother, I'd say number two.
