Striaght verses bi, how do I know?

Everyone talks about how they are this sexual orinetation or that, but I don't know which. I had a serious boyfriend last year which ended badly, so I know I do like guys. However I like some girls too that I hang out with, but no of them are lesbians, or interested with me. When I am alone with a few certain girls I have urges to hand their hand and kiss them and then I am realized what I was thinking? I just don't know. I live in a christian family and have grown up being taught that being gay is a sin, but I can't explain away the way I feel. I was told to just go for it, but with my family I can't and besides all the girls I like are straight or already have a partener. I just don't know what to do, but I just feel worse about it the more I wait and think on it. Can anyone tell me how they were sure of their sexuality, preferably those who are bi or gay/lesbian. Thanks a ton, sorry for the awkward question, but I have no one else to ask.

Sexuality, in general, is a wonderful thing. It's something that you have the freedom within yourself to explore.

I think most people question the basic parts of themselves, such as their sexual orientation, in a matter of determining who they are as an individual.

Just find yourself, and i hope that you are happy with whoever you are.

And i'm still not sure about my sexuality. I'm pretty much in the same place as you. =P

I guess it is a bit of a comfort to know that I am not alone in my confusion, but I wish I had a solution to it.
