Are smileys out of style in USA?

Hmm... I'm not sure exactly, I use to put smiley's everywhere, it was my trademark thing. But I don't think anyone really does that to much, especially after every sentence. Though I tend to put smiley's here and there. Usually though if i'm writing on paper, their are random hearts around th page. Smileies not so much. It just depends on the person. It's not technically a style per say its just a fad, something that you like to randomly do. Bleh.

I like smileys, me and my friends use them plenty on yahoo instent messager. It's just I've tried a few smileys here, and they didn't work, so I half gave up. They're more common on IMs I think XD.
