How far would you go and what kinds of things would you do just to fit in??

People say I do crazy stuff to be pretty and popular - but think about it, i wear pjs to school, my eyeliner is always smudged, and i sit with 7th graders and 8th graders who have a very low amount of friends at lunch. Yeah i could sit with the preps and i occassionally do but 99% of the time, im sitting with other people.

do you do crazy stuff to fit in?
what do you think of preps?
are you always yourself around people?

Let me know what you have to say about the 3 topics listed above..

I usually use astrolube...that does the job.

Sometimes though i am just my pleasant quietly charming self..and i don't need knifes to make people like me.

Mostly though each man is an Island, and it's not so much about fitting in but connecting.

Nein. I am me, I dress odd, and I am odd..If they don't like it, well then it sucks to be them, but I don't do crazy stuff to fit in..

Mmm..Preps..Depends I mean I have nothing against them. I just hate their whole over all attitude, or some preps have that.. "I am better then you!" Attitude and it really bugs me. No one is better then anyone, it's childish they need to grow up. O_o...

Ja. I am always me, which is shy at first then crazy and wild when I get to know someone. I don't act diffrent just for people to like me. I am me and if you don't like it. I really REALLY don't care, and I would not change for anyone. EVER. :)

I don't try and fit in. I don't like the "popular" people.

Well, I don't do anything to fit in, I guess I am just there...There with the preps and popular crowd, as we are stereotyped. Seriously though, I am not at all like they are portrayed in movies and such, and many have really kind hearts if you get to know them. I never did anything to fit in, but I know from what they say that I am pretty and so that's a natural characteristic to be fit into society. It is all pretty pathetic however. Even though I am stuck with these groups, I still jump around and hang out with others, I don't like secluding myself to one type of group. However, all of my "preppy" friends think I am a bit too smart and geeky for them. It's funny, because then I could fit with the geeky type of students when I want, and also with the "popular" kids as said.

Either way, all this is high-school drama and to think about fitting in and such is simply a waste of time. There are far better and more important things young minds need to be occupied with. Don't make fitting in a priority on your "To Do" list.

I am just me.. I get along with mostly everybody, minus a couple people.

I actually could really care less if I "fit in " ... I don't beleive in popular people either .'Popular' people only think they exsist because they have the most updated clothing and the newist hiar style or most friends . I get along with most people at my school no matter what "group" they are in . If I have friends great and if not great then too . I'd rather be myself then try super hard to fit in with people who wouldn't even hang out with me if I was the way I was before I tried . Not like I'm gonna see even a 1/4 of those high school people when I graduate anyway. :)

I don't do anything to fit in..I don't know how to give an answer without sounding concieded..but I just naturally do..I am a crazy person and I don't care what others say...yeah I get goofy a lot but I also know my boundaries and who I can be goofy with other times I'm mature

Preps...ehh...who cares...They are people, leave em alone let them be who they are just as well as jocks, skaters, and goths...we are who we are..who are we to say we dont like one "click"

I too am like you though..you say you sit with 7th and 8th graders..I dont do that but have many friends younger and many friends way older then me...I sit with who I want at lunch and my eyeliner is on pretty

fitting in really means nothing..at a school of 2000 people...everyone fits in somehow
