As I slowly drift asleep,
I begin to cry and weep,
I cant stop the feeling inside,
I wish I could hide.

Hide from the troubles of love,
I want comfort from above.
I am slowly loosing my mind,
I cant leave you behind

I’ve drifted asleep,
Memories inside I’ll keep,
You touched my heart,
Now I’m falling apart.

Here asleep I lay,
What can I say?
I love you forever,
I want us to be together.

~He Couldn't Bear To Watch (22)~

High school friends will come and go,
some you'll forget, some you won't know.
Some will do things that are clearly insane,
others do drugs, and ruin their brain.

I see kids fall off on a regular basis,
get caught doing drugs and fall flat on their faces.
It's a sad cycle, that were all subject to,
Luckily, I don't do what other kids do.

I saw a kid in the office, just the other day.
He was fear stricken, with nothing to say.
I looked deep into the office, where I could see,
a body laying, as dead as could be.

Then I saw the boy's mom, standing still,
She didn't know her son had the power to kill.
As the woman stood there, I heard a loud cry.
It was the mother of the little boy, who had died.

The young man in the office, with fear in his eyes,
started to cry, but not by surprise.
He had smoked pot, before driving to school,
top down convertible, he thought he was cool.

Well, he was, until he heard a scream,
to his surprise, it was worse than it seemed.
He jumped out of the car and ran to the boy,
remembering the saying, a car's not a toy.

By the time he was within five feet of the child,
he was filled with fear, emotionally riled.
The rest of his life, on the line,
maybe the boy would be fine, just this time.

But, to his demise, the boy wasn't okay,
he stood there still, with nothing to say.
After a few minutes, he ran into school,
leaving the boy in a blood red pool.

He didn't know what he should do,
ran into the office, right into my view.
As soon as I saw him I knew it was bad,
an expression of guilt, nothing but sad.

Now, he is spending three years in prison,
he got high, hit a kid, whose body has risen.
He made his own bed, but don't feel bad for him,
feel bad for the parents of that beautiful little kid.

[21] She Looked In the Mirror.

She looked in the mirror,
Couldn't believe who she saw.
The look in her teary eyes,
She had never seen before.

So much anger had built up,
T'was just waiting to explode.
And she yelled and screamed so loud,
Finally her feelings showed.

They had pushed all her buttons,
They knew she'd finally break.
Backed her into a corner,
And then she started to shake.

She couldn't take this anymore,
Couldn't bottle up her feelings.
Not sure of what to do now,
Praying up at the ceiling.

She lost control and let loose,
Ran to the bathroom and cried.
Smashed the mirror with her fist,
Hoping soon she would have died.

Hearing voices in her head,
Telling her that she is weak.
That she will not make it though,
With tears rolling down her cheek.

..Yeah..It might not be good. But I wanted to use that first line cause it kinda reflected on something that happened today. Hope you like it?

He can fix that
Someone broke her dolly
But as she started to cry
He said "Don't cry baby
I can fix that"

He can fix that
Someone crashed into her car
She wasn't hurt
But the car was totaled
He said "Don't worry baby
I can fix that"

He can fix that
Someone stole everything she had
Left her house empty
Even the crumbs
He said "We'll replace it baby
I can fix that"

He can fix that
Someone broke her heart
Left her alone at the alter,
with some other women
He said "It'll be okay baby
I can fix that"

He can fix that
Someone stole her life
For thirty bucks and a nickel
In a rundown gas station, late one night
He said "What am I going to do now baby
I can fix that"

He can fix that
So he loaded his gun
Cocked it and pulled it
Now he's with her again
He said "Anything else wrong baby?
I can fix that"

**In my opinion not my best, but I wrote it just for this & I like the idea of doing something different & not having every poem have to be about me. SO, its something new for me hope yall like it :)

nooo.. i just wrote the poem, and then i realized it had to be shorter than 40 lines.. and its more like 60.. im sorry.. iv got it here if you still let me enter, but if you dont i understand and sorry for wasting your time..

OK.....let me make something clear....i dont think i really did in the instructions.......you must BEGIN THE POEM with the prompt....not just make the prompt the title........a couple people have done it already, but im not gonna do anything about theirs.........just make sure it doesnt happen again....thx..........HAVE FUN!

20) Darkside of the Moon

The dew was like a giant puddle,
In the morn as they depart,
Moon kissed the sun goodbye,
But with him he took her heart.

I saw it with my own eyes,
The sun shone through the light,
He took her simple wishes,
And turned stars into night,

Just to show the world,
The beauty of his love,
Her light and her spirit,
But she's gone like a dove,

For the moon is suppressed to darkness,
The sun is forced to reign,
The time we are alive,
With nothing left to gain,

But until one moment,
For a minute they are as one,
We are submitted to the dark,
So they are together, the moon and sun.

On a warm summers day
As a gentle breeze
Sways the rows of stunning flowers
And the golden rays of the sun
Make everything glitter and shine
There is a small sound
Being repeated over and over
Quite a normal sound
That is disturbing the peace..

Knock, knock..
A girl with fluffy brown hair
Answers her door
Her glossy blue eyes look damaged
And the smile on her face
Is plastered there out of politeness..

Dressed in a sparkly white suit
Blonde hair spiked up
A dazzling smile
And bearing
A bunch of blood red roses
The man asks her for a date
She smiles but waves him away..
As this is not the one she wants
Knocking on her door..

Knock, Knock
Next is a man
Tall, dark, and incredibly handsome
Are a few words that
Describe him..
He shows her the keys of his speedy sports car
And invites her to join him
She smiles but waves him away..
As this is not the one she wants
Knocking on her door..

Knock, Knock
Along comes a man
He has jet black hair
Electric blue eyes
A mouth full of
Amazingly white teeth
And muscles big enough
To pick her up and spin her
Around and around and around
He comes carrying a huge basket
Of champagne..
She smiles but waves him away..
As this is not the one she wants
Knocking on her door..

Knock, Knock
This time the man at the door
Is not bearing any gifts,
Nor wearing expensive clothes
All that this man carries with him
Is a smile full of love..
And eyes that stare straight into her soul
He moves closer
And kisses her..
Every inch of his heart and soul
Flow into that kiss..

And when they finally break away
Her eyes,
No longer damaged
Sparkle with happiness and love
That smile that was placed there to be polite
Now cannot be removed..
And that broken heart,
Is now repaired and stronger than ever..
And she is finally happy,
As this is the one she wants
Knocking on her door..

13) Paper airplain

The world is like a paper airplane,
it goes up then comes crashing down,
All because of hatred and arguement,
People thinking their the worlds crown.

Money seems to be the center of the world,
when we all know that's just not right,
A huge discussion comes up,
and thats the airplains flight.

Down it comes, and down we'll go,
If we don't at least start to share.
I can't understand, and I won't,
Doesn't anyone want to care?
