Pandoras Box

I have a question for everyone. You all know the myth of pandoras box, the box that had evil that duelled inside it, well if theres bad then there is good so would that mean since there is a cursed bad luck box wouldn't there be a box of good luck and happiness? Your thoughts are welcomed.

um i said good luck and happiness is oppisite of bad luck and evil. You simply misunderstood me. and its just a thought, Of course i know that it is not real, duh!

The thing about myths is that it teaches you something as well as entertains you in the same time.

Let’s see what the story about Pandora’s Box is:

It is about a human woman created and fashioned by the Olympian Gods, and was given to a king (favored by the gods), as his wife. The Gods attend their wedding, and Zeus gives them a gift, and tells them to never open it. Pandora being curious opened it, and let out all the evils in the world: Jealousy, greed, gluttony, hate, spite etc…

After all the evils left, she looked in the box…And found a small bird like creature on it… It was hope and it was the last to fly away.

So Pandora not only gave us the evils in the world, she gave us another evil…Hope!

So what is the motto for this myth: Curiosity killed the cat, and that hope is merely an evil monster behind a beautiful face.

Oh and there is no such thing as a good luck or happiness box. Because happiness is only the by product of our trails and tribulations. Simple as that.

Ismail, is that true? I've never heard that last part of the myth. not in greek mythology 100. I find it kind of funny in the ironic sense that you consider hope another kind of evil.

but, it could be that, like the box itself, it contains the power for good and evil, and though it released all the evil in the world, it also released a little glimmer of hope that good can prevail.

but I appreciate the irony of evil hope too. lol.

Yes it is true, why else would it be in the box of evils. Hope is in some ways only evil, when you put your whole self into believing in it. Hope does that, it dashes the dreams and ideal futures of many men.

I was bored and my cousin was talking to me about pandoras box and so i made a stupid disscusion about it. damn ppl get so critical. take it easy folks.

yeah, but after all the evil came out of the box, a small light of hope did as well!

hope kinda stands for all the good things in life..
