    Take 1000. Add 40.
    Add another 1000.
    Add 30. 1000 again.
    Plus 20. Plus 1000.
    And plus 10.

    What is the total?

    Answer: 5000??? Wrong again!!!! The correct answer is 4100. Try again with a good calculator

    Sarah, the answer is 4,100. Some people add up the 40, 30, 20, and 10 and in their mind make it 1,000 , giving them 5,000 as the total.

    I got 5000... I did it on the calculator and its 4100.. that dont make sense to me... Lol

    the answer is right there in the first post after the problem!! how can anyone get it wrong?!?!?

    The way people get 5000 is that they add the 1000's = 4000 and when they add the 40,30,20, 10, their mind tricks them into thinking it's another 1000, rather than just 100.

    i dont know that answer but i have a qustion for u guyz

    if u were in a house with a lantern, fire place, a wood burning stove with one match witch one would u light first?

    i got a nother

    witch is heaver 10 pounds of bricks
    or 10 pounds of feathers?

    4100 is da answer i ahve a calculator DUH ho uses their brain n e mroe science has eliminated the need 4 that lol lil boxs think 4 us :D yay
